Terms & Conditions These Terms and Conditions of Entry (“Entry Terms”) are designed to enable the Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run and Walk on Saturday 3 October 2026 (the “Event”) to participate safely. By registering and agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of Entry, you (the “Participant”) accept and agree to be bound by these Entry Terms and all other relevant terms, conditions, rules and regulations including Event Rules (available at: http://tatura200.com.au/ride-routes/rules/ ) Registration Requirements Participants must complete an online entry form. A Participants registration is not considered complete until all required Participant information is supplied and full payment is received by the event organisers. The collection and use of Participant personal details are subject to the Bega Group Privacy Policy available at: https://begagroup.com.au/privacy-policy/ Participants completing a cycling event acknowledge that they have prior road cycling experience and that they have the relevant experience to safely complete the course If the Participant is under the age of 18 years old and is participating in the 126km ride, the 22.5km ride, the 10km run/walk or 5km run/walk, with the expressed written permission of a parent or guardian, the underage Participant may participate under the strict supervision of a nominated registered Participant over 18 years old. The event organisers are not responsible for the welfare and safety of Participants, beyond what is legally required, whether they are under or over the aged of 18 years. Participants aged between 8 and 16 years old are able to participate in the children’s fun run where adult supervision is not a requirement . Children under the age of 8 years old, must be supervised by an adult over the age of 18 under all circumstances. Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run, Ride and Walk reserves the right to refuse any registration. Refunds If the Participant wishes to cancel their registration in the event, the Participant must notify the Event Manager via email at tatura.200@bega.com.au Cancellations received on or by Friday 7 August 2026 will receive a full refund of the registration fee paid upon production of a receipt. No refunds are able to be offered for cancellations received after Friday 7 August 2026. The Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run and Walk is under no obligation to refund registration fees due to:Failure to participate, failure to complete the course by 5pm on the day of the event, change of mind or personal reasonsParticipant injuryMechanical breakdown or inability to travel to the eventDissatisfaction of the event by the Participant.Failure of the Participant to comply with the event Terms and ConditionsFailure of the Participant to comply with the directions of event staff, the law or the lawful direction of Victoria Police.Cancellation of event due to weather or safety concerns Force Majeure means any act, occurrence or event not within the reasonable control of the relevant party, including, without limitation, fire, flood, lightning, storm and tempest, strikes, lockouts or other industrial disputes, pandemic, acts of war, riots, explosion or government restrictions. Transfers The Participant may transfer their registration to another Participant up until Friday 4 October 2026. Permissions must be sought in advance by notifying the Event Manager via email at tatura.200@bega.com.au. Mode of Transport Only conventional road, mountain, tandem bikes and E-bikes are permitted for use during the event. E-bikes are permitted as the event is not a race, it is a charity fun ride. E-bikes permitted for use must not be registered or require a license as these are considered motorcycles. E-bikes permitted for use must be in accordance with the VicRoads definition of either a pedal assisted E-bike with an output of no higher than 250 watts, or an E-bike with throttle with an output no higher than 200 watts. E-bikes used must not exceed a maximum speed of 25kph. E-bikes with modifications to allow a higher wattage, that have petrol-powered motors attached or exceeds a maximum speed higher than 25kph will not be allowed for use in the event as they are considered an unregistered motorcycle. Unlawful E-bikes and unlawful use of E-bikes will be reported to Victoria Police. We will not provide any charging facilities for E-bikes, these must be provided by participants. Support Vehicles Support vehicles operate throughout the event. Support vehicles can assist in the situation of a mechanical breakdown, exhaustion, illness, injury or as transport. While volunteers take due care when handling bikes, the event is not responsible for any damages, costs, or expenses that the Participant may incur as a result of the handling of their bike by Support Vehicle members. Acknowledgement and Waiver The Participant acknowledges and agrees that participation in the event is inherently dangerous and that participation is at their own risk. The Participant hereby releases and indemnifies Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run, Ride and Walk, Tatura Milk Industries Pty Ltd, Bega Cheese Limited, the Bega Group and any other entity of the Bega Group or their respective representatives, to the extent permitted by law from and against all and any claims, law suits, demands, liabilities, loss and damage, costs, expenses and, interest, whether pursuant to common law or statute, that the Participant may suffer or incur arising from or connected with the Participant’s involvement in the event including as a result of negligence, breach of duty, breach of care or other fault or responsibility of the Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run, Ride and Walk, Tatura Milk Industries Pty Ltd, Bega Cheese Limited, Bega Group, any related Bega Group entity and any of their respective representatives. If the Participant is a parent or guardian of a Participant under 18 years of age, that Participant consents to the child participating in the event then that parent or guardian assumes full responsibility for the child’s safety and participation throughout the event. Participants Parent or Guardian further agrees and undertakes to Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run, Ride and Walk for and on behalf of the Participant under 18 years of age that the release and indemnity contained in clause 23 and 24 applies with full force and effect to the participant under 18 years of age. Compliance with Laws and Regulations During the event, the Participant must comply with all road rules and regulations. Participants must obey Police and Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run, Ride and Walk representatives at all times. Any Participant who does not comply may be asked to retire from the event, may be asked to vacate the event or may be reported to Victoria Police. Any Participant involved in a cycling event must wear a securely fitted and fastened helmet that contains a mark of compliance with the Australian Standard and the symbol of a JAS-ANZ accredited company. Any Participant found not wearing a helmet will be asked to retire from the event. Any Participant found riding, running or walking after the finish time of 5pm will be asked to retire from the event and use support vehicles for transportation back to the Start/Finish Site. If the Participant refuses to finish, the Participant will not be covered under the insurance provisions of the event, will not be supervised by support cars, event staff and first aid and emergency workers and will continue at their own risk. Any Participant that passes the lead car or falls behind the rear car is not covered by the insurance provisions of the event and does so at their own risk. Compulsory Equipment and Clothing It is the Participant’s responsibility to ensure that their bike, equipment, shoes and clothing are suitable for the ride type and distance undertaken during the event. It is the Participant’s responsibility to ensure that the bike used is roadworthy. Health and Safety The Participant is responsible for ensuring that they have adequately and appropriately prepared physically for the event. The Participant consents to receiving any medical treatment that event organisers or their authorised representatives (including First Aid and emergency services providers) consider reasonably necessary. If the Participant becomes ill or injured during the event, and treatment required is beyond First Aid officers as part of the event, an ambulance will be contacted. Any medical transport will be at the Participant’s expense. Meal types offered at the event are regular, gluten free and vegetarian. It is the sole responsibility of the Participant to ensure they bring along suitable food and medications that may be necessary to treat any medical conditions. Event Variation Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run, Ride and Walk reserves the right to change the route without notice. Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run, Ride and Walk reserve the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule or change the time and location of the event at any time prior to the event without notice. Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run, Ride and Walk is not responsible or liable to the Participant for any loss, damage, cost or expense incurred because of such action. Privacy The Participant consents to being photographed or filmed during the event, and consents to Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run, Ride and Walk, Tatura Milk Industries Pty Ltd, Bega Cheese Limited, the Bega Group, any related entity of Bega Group and respective representatives using the Participant’s photos or film for promoting the event and any future events or business activities by any form of media. The parent/guardian of the Participant aged under 18 years old consents to the child being photographed or filmed during the event, and consents to Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run, Ride and Walk, Tatura Milk Industries Pty Ltd, Bega Cheese Limited, the Bega Group, any related entity of Bega Group and its respective representatives using the child’s photo or film for promoting the event and any future events or business activities by any form of media. All photos, film, data, personal details of Participants and public attendees to the event are subject to Bega Groups Privacy Policy and can be found at https://begagroup.com.au/privacy-policy/ Bega will continue to own all existing intellectual property rights and any intellectual property rights which are created as a result of, or in connection with, the provision of this event. the Participant must not use or make claim to any right which is an existing intellectual property right or trade mark of the aforementioned parties. The Participant consents to receiving emails and/or text messages regarding the Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run, Ride and Walk, or any future events held by Tatura Milk Industries Pty Ltd, Bega Cheese Limited and / or the Bega Group. Participants can opt out at any time by completing the opt out option included in any marketing emails. Tatura Pedals and Steps, Charity Run, Ride and Walk is run by Tatura Milk Industries Pty Ltd ABN 66 006 603 970, which is a subsidiary of Bega Cheese Limited and part of the Bega Group of Companies and includes where appropriate employees, volunteers, and contractors.
