When is the Tatura 200 Charity Bike Ride & Walk?

When do registrations open?

Registrations are now open!

When do registrations close?

Early bird registrations (which includes a jersey or running shirt) close on Monday 2 September 2024.  
Registrations can still be made after this date and will close 2 weeks prior to the event.

How much is the registration fee?

The registration fee structure is as follows;
200km | $170
100km | $160
25km Adult | $70
25km Child | $20
25km Family | $100
10km Walk | $60
10km Family Walk | $65.00

What is included with my registration fee?

Your registration fee includes:

  • Official Tatura 200 jersey or running shirt
    (if registration is made prior to Monday 2 September 2024)  
  • Participant Pack (if registration is made prior to Monday 2 September 2024) 
  • Egg & Bacon rolls for breakfast (for 200km and 100km ride events only)
  • BBQ or bakery rolls for lunch
  • Water, soft drinks and sports drinks
  • Snacks
  • First Aid and massage if required
  • Drink token to celebrate on completion of your event
  • Live music and lawn games
  • Feel good feeling of helping out organisations and groups in our local community
  • 200km riders will receive a medal and bragging rights for their efforts!

*Please note 25km Child, 25km Family and 10km Family Walk do not include jerseys or running shirts.

When and where can I pick up my participant pack?

Participant Packs will be ready to collect prior to the event day. Notification will be sent out via email and text message regarding collection dates, timeframes and location.

Can I get a refund or transfer my registration?

Notifications of cancellations received by Saturday 31 August 2024 will be eligible for a full refund of the ticket registration fee. The participant must notify the Event Manager via email at tatura.200@bega.com.au.

The Course

What can I expect from the course?

The longer ride events are flat and undulating and take place on sealed roads. The courses offer scenic routes amongst local orchards and dairy farms, country townships, the occasional Goulburn River crossing and views of Waranga Basin.

The 25km route is flat with long, straight sections. This course is suitable for families.

Is it a race?

The Tatura 200 is a ride, not a race! No timing will be carried out.

Are there drink stations throughout the course?

In addition to the Start/Finish Site there is four drink stations located at Pine Lodge, Mooroopna, Murchison and Rushworth. A fifth drink stop will be added at Waranga in the event of higher temperatures. All drink stops have water, cold drinks, snacks and a first aid kit. Some drink stops have toilets.

Are there road closures throughout the course?

The Tatura 200 Charity Bike Ride & Walk does not include closed road courses.

Follow Police, marshalling and traffic management instructions at all times. Please obey road safety rules and event signage to ensure a safe ride.

How safe is the course?

Participant safety is very important to us. Please follow Police, marshalling and traffic management instructions at all times. Obey road safety rules and event signage to ensure a safe ride. Lead and tail cars, First Aid, traffic marshals and volunteers are on hand to assist you throughout the course of the rides or walks.

What if I can’t continue during the ride?

Over 50 volunteers will be working along the various routes and at the Start/Finish Site, along with First Aid officers. They are on hand to provide assistance in the event of a breakdown, injury or illness. We do recommend that you have your bike serviced prior to the ride. All riders must carry spare tubes and a pump and know how to repair a puncture.

In the event you cannot complete the ride we will ensure you and your bike are delivered back to the Start/Finish Site.

Will the event be called off in the case of inclement weather?

The event will go ahead rain, hail or shine and regardless of the weather forecast as long as it is safe to do so.

Parking is available at the venue and on surrounding streets.
