When is the 2025 Tatura Pedals and Steps?

When do registrations open?

Registrations open 8am Monday 16th June 2025.

When do registrations close?

Early bird registrations which include a jersey (120km ride only) or event shirt (25km, 10km and 5km) close on Friday 15th August 2025.
Registrations can still be made after this date and will close Friday 17th October. In person registrations can be made on the day at the event site.

Is it a race?

Tatura Pedals and Steps is a ride, run and walk, not a race! No timing will be carried out for any event.

Are there drink stations throughout the course?

In addition to the Start/Finish Site there are drink stations located throughout the courses and will be marked on official event maps. For the 120km ride, there will be drink stations and toilets in Murchison, Nagambie, Rushworth and Waranga. For the 5km walk and 10km run there will be drink stations located at Cussen Park. There are no toilet stops on these routes other than at the start/finish site. The 25km ride has no drink stops or toilets due to the course location, however support vehicles will carry drinks, snacks and first aid if required.

Are there road closures throughout the course?

The Tatura Pedals and Steps does not include closed road courses.

Follow Police, marshalling and traffic management instructions at all times. Please obey road safety rules and event signage to ensure a safe ride.

How safe is the course?

Participant safety is very important to us. Please follow Police, marshalling and traffic management instructions at all times. Obey road safety rules and event signage to ensure a safe ride. Lead and tail cars, First Aid, traffic marshals and volunteers are on hand to assist you throughout the course of the rides or walks.

What if I can’t continue during the ride?

Over 50 volunteers will be working along the various routes and at the Start/Finish Site, along with First Aid officers. They are on hand to provide assistance in the event of a breakdown, injury or illness. We do recommend that you have your bike serviced prior to the ride. All riders must carry spare tubes and a pump and know how to repair a puncture.

In the event you cannot complete the ride we will ensure you and your bike are delivered back to the Start/Finish Site.

Will the event be called off in the case of inclement weather?

The event will go ahead rain, hail or shine and regardless of the weather forecast as long as it is safe to do so.

Is there parking available at the Start/Finish Site?

Parking is available on surrounding streets. If you are living or staying locally and prefer to ride your bike, there will be bike racks at the Start/Finish Site. Make sure you check the route before you leave and follow road safety rules at all times.
